The social media storytelling website Storify is launching an iPad app. This enables journalists to go out in the field and report events to their Storify accounts without needing to be on a laptop or computer.

There are some differences from the web version to the iPad version. The iPad version still allows users to curate information from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media websites. A new feature on the iPad app lets users Tweet directly from the app. Check out the video to see additional features the app has to offer and design:

Storify created a buzz prior to the announcement on social media websites asking people what they thought the announcement was. Many people speculated that Storify had been bought out.

Storify for iPad is available for download now at the iTunes App Store.

If you’re using Storify’s iPad, tell me what you think about it.

Apple unveils its new operating systems called Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is going to be released this summer.

Click here to watch Apple’s overview on Mountain Lion. The video will auto play once you click the link on Apple’s website.

What’s New

Messages. Apple is revamping it’s communication software. iChat will be replaced with Messages. Messages, which is currently on iPhones, will allow you to send unlimited messages to iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch, and Macs that are running iOS 5. All conversations can be viewed on multiple devices. For example, if you started your conversation on your iPhone you can continue the conversation on your iPad or Mac – you’re not confined to a single device to continue or finish your conversation. Messages will still allow you to connect with AIM, Jabber, Google Talk, and Yahoo! Messenger accounts. If you don’t want to wait until the summer when Mountain Lion is released, you can download and try it out.

Notification Center. You’ll never miss a beat. Similar to how Growl for Mac works, notifications will alert you when you have a new email, instant message, friend request, etc. The notification banner will disappear so it will not be distracting while you work. In case you need a reminder, you can easily swipe to the left and see a full list of all your notifications

AirPlay Monitor. With Apple TV you can stream your computer onto your television. The best part is you don’t need any wires to do it.

Mountain Lion also improves iCloud, Notes, Reminder, and Security features. All information provided is from Apple.com.

What do you think?

The United States and members of the international community believe Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iran claims they’re developing nuclear capabilities for energy and domestic purposes.

As a way to put pressure on Iran without taking military action, The United States, Australia, Canada, the European Union, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea, and Switzerland have placed sanctions on Iran. Specifically, the United States goal is to reduce the ability to sell crude oil, Iran’s main export, by targeting Iran’s central bank. While a Fox News report indicates that the sanctions are taking a toll on Iran’s economy, the Pew Poll indicated only 21 percent believe the sanctions against Iran will work.

What are your views on Iran’s nuclear program?
