Resume Demo Reel

Hello. My name is Joe Gullo. Looking for a broadcast journalism job after completing my broadcast journalism degree at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. I am also a photographer, videographer, and video editor.

Interning at WPTZ-TV taught me valuable skills from professional journalists.  I learned how to use AP ENPS to write readers, VO, VO/SOTS, and search the wires. Shadowing reporters gave me new tools to interview, make contacts, and come up with story ideas.

I love telling people’s stories. Growing up, I would always have a camera in my hand recording family gatherings and events with my friends. My family still looks to me to capture those family moments.

My junior year of high school formally taught me how to shoot video and edit video more professionally. My senior year, I was anchoring Monroe Network News at my high school’s television station. From that point on, I knew I wanted to work in the broadcast news industry.

My goal as a journalist is to give the community every opportunity to contact me because that’s true journalism. The ability for a journalist to connect with his or her audience whether it is readers, viewers, or listeners. So don’t be shy, I would love to hear from you!
