I am going to be covering local stories for my blog and website over the next upcoming weeks. The new community news feature will allow you to access all of my reports in the Plattsburgh, NY area.

My goal for this feature is to start discussion about local issues and encourage community engagement through my stories. My philosophy as a journalist is to tell stories that are relevant, engaging, and interesting to my viewers and readers. I have spent the last four years learning the importance of news and what it means for the community. I want to tell your story and cover issues that are important to you.

I am hoping to complete a story each week for the remainder of the semester. Last week, I did a story on the September 11th memorial service held on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus.
